Hair Transplant for Women
Hair transplantation is an effective treatment method that has a positive effect on individuals with hair loss; affecting every aspect of their lives. Although most of the hair transplantion patients are still men, most of the women have begun to seek hair transplant procedure as a hair loss treatment. Hair transplantation is considered a very important treatment as the final result of this procedure will contribute positively to the physical appearance of the woman. In addition to its negative effects on physical appearance, hair loss can also lead to feelings of extreme psychological distress. Hair loss in women can be triggered by many conditions, it is much more harder to diagnose when compared to men.

FUE Hair Transplant
FUE is a hair transplantation technique which has been developed during the introduction of modern technologies in hair implantation. It is used at nearly all hair transplant clinics around the world. In this technique a special instrument is used to extract grafts one by one, without leaving an elongated scar. Required amount of hair follicles (donor grafts) are harvested from the back of the head with the help of micromotors and microtips of 0.6-0.8 mm in diameter. Follicles in these areas are immune to hair loss. Double and triple hair follicles which are extracted from the donor area separated and counted one by one.
These donor grafts are then preserved in a liquid solution that maximises survivability.Thanks to the micro tools, the deformation is less and the healing process is shortened. FUE method that does not leave any scar in the back part of the head.
The technique is known with different names, such as Classic FUE (via micro motors), Robotic FUE, DHI technique (FUE performed with Choi implanters), and Sapphire FUE (FUE performed with Sapphire blades).
Sapphire FUE Hair Transplant
Sapphire FUE technique, known as a new hair transplant technique which performed with precious gemstone called sapphire blades.
Sapphire blades are smoother and sharper than steel blades, they can create smaller incision. Additionally, when the channels are opened as small as possible, it becomes easier for them to heal after the procedure.
Hair follicles are more tightly secured inside smaller channel.
DHI Hair Transplant
DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) is the most innovative technique of hair transplantation for the most natural and high-density results. DHI technique is also known as’’unshaven hair transplantation’’
DHI technique is the process of removing hair from the donor area with special pens and placing it in the area to be transplanted. Hair transplant is performed using ‘’Choi implanter pens’’ which provide denser hair transplantation. These pens, selected specifically for patients during operation, are single use for each patient.
The hair follicul taken from the donor area is placed in the area to be transplanted in a short time like 1-2 minutes with this special pens. Contrary to classical FUE method in DHI method, there is no need to pre-create implantation channels also reducing trauma to the scalp. DHI method enables to place the grafts at the right angle to direction of hair growth which allows the patients to obtain natural looking results
This transplantation method does not require shaving, so it is possible to transplant grafts between thinned existing hairs. This method can be preferred more in women hair transplant because it is possible to transplant hair follicles in the bald areas between the hair.

Beard And Moustache Transplantation

Beard transplantation is performed just like basic hair transplant operations. First, a beard map plan is created then FUE beard transplantation is performed with the hair follicles taken from the back of the head. The hair follicles are implanted the planned area by Choi implanter pen method(DHI).
The recovery period of the beard transplant operation is much shorter than the hair transplant because injuries and crusting are also less common.
Patient need a day to recover from the beard implant surgery. Tiny crusts may form around each implanted hair follicle, but these should fall off within a few days.

Before Hair Transplant Operation
Before the hair transplant procedure, please let us know about any medical issues and medications you use. In order for us to provide you with the highest quality medical care, the following instructions are important for you to follow:
Two week before
Two week before the hair transplant procedure, stop taking the following medication as they may increase bleeding during the procedure. You can resume them 2 days after the procedure.

*If you are taking finasteride or Propecia, you can continue with your dosage as usual. Minoxidil or Rogaine should be stopped 1 day before the procedure then resumed after 2 weeks
One week before
•
Smoking and tobacco products constricts blood vessels decreases the oxygen-carrying capacity of the blood and decreases blood flow to the scalp and. These factors may cause to poor healing after the procedure.
In order to increase your chances of a successful and effective hair transplant procedure, it’s important that you avoid alcoholic beverages one week before your hair transplant surgery.
Hair Transplantation Day
•
The morning of your transplantation operation take a shower and wash your hair thoroughly using regular shampoo. After shampooing, please rinse thoroughly and use a fresh clean towel to dry your hair.
Do NOT apply sprays or gels to your hair
If you wear a hairpiece or a hair system, please make sure it’s removed prior to your morning shower and not replaced before your procedure.
Come to the operation well rested, and having eaten a light breakfast. Avoid any caffeine.
We advise you to wear a buttoned shirt or a wide-collar t-shirt to avoid accidentally touching your head while putting your clothes back on after the procedure. This is a good habit for the weeks following the procedure, t
During The Surgery

In terms of operating room sterilization no companion is allowed in the hair transplantation room. We will host your companions in our waiting area.
Avoid chewing gum and talking too muchduring the operation.

After Hair Transplant Operation
Precautions to observe after hair transplantation

For the first 7 days sleep on your back with two pillows to keep your head elevated. Don’t sleep flat on your tummy or side, or rub your new hairline against a pillow. You are also advised to use the special pillow that will provided by SE Hair Clinic for the first 7-10 days
It is very important to use the medicines given by the doctor regularly after the transplantation . Take the antibiotics as prescribed to protect against infection. If you you feel pain you can take painkillers which are provided.
Hydrate well before and after hair transplant surgery
The next morning after the hair transplantion, the bandage will be removed in the clinic and you will be fully informed about the postoperative care, healing process, shampooing/hair wash will be demonstrated.
- Two days after the operation you are need to begin washing your hair in the morning or evening as demonstrated in the clinic.
Don’t be alarmed if you feel swelling, especially on days 3 and 4 after the surgery. Ice pads for the first few days will be useful in preventing edema formation.
A little itchiness is normal the first few days after a hair transplantation. Don’t scratch your scalp.
Most patients are able to resume daily routine in one or two days after the procedure. - After the hair transplant, you should avoid alcohol for three days and smoking for two weeks, as this adversely affects healing and the survival of the grafts.
There will be dotted red scabs at the bottom of the hair follicles transplanted to the recipient area and donor areas that can be seen for about 7-10 days. Usually the patient gains normal appearance within 10-15 days post-op.
Limited exercise activities like walking can be done in the first week. Avoid strong exercise due to excessive sweating for 2 weeks after hair transplant surgery.
After hair transplant procedure stay away from direct sunlight the first 2 weeks. For the first 6 months after the transplant, we recommend to wear headwear when exposure to sun.

Post Operative Hair Wash
Hair wash technique is one of the most important things that can affect the transplanted hair roots and final result of a hair transplantation. Therefore, every patient is taught how to wash their hair properly at the SE Hair Clinic.
The hair wash procedure steps:
All washing steps should be done gently with the palm and without pressure and rubbing.

This is the softening phase of hair wash. Both transplanted area and donor area are covered with moisturizer lotion and wait 30 minutes. It helps a softening effect on scabs around the transplanted hair roots and donor area. This helps to remove traces of dried blood and heal faster.

After 15-30 minutes, the scalp should be washed with special medical shampoo and warm water. Lather a little amount of shampoo between your hands and very carefully apply to the whole scalp. Do not rub be carefull.

After washing step dry your hair with a paper towel just pat it very gently do not rub. If it is possible do not use towels to dry your hair. You should use a hair dryer on a cool air mode and at a moderate distance from your head.
